How Wing Snob Came to Life

It all started in 2014 when founder Marcus Webb returned to his Oak Park roots after years working in Chicago's restaurant scene. Frustrated by wings that were either overcooked, under-sauced, or just plain forgettable, he set out to craft the perfect wing from scratch.

Working from a tiny kitchen, Marcus spent six months developing sauces, testing cooking methods, and perfecting the crispy-yet-tender texture that Wing Snob is now famous for. Word spread quickly through the neighborhood, and the demand was undeniable.

Today, Wing Snob is Oak Park's go-to destination for bold, crave-worthy chicken wings — made fresh daily, sauced to order, and served with the passion that started it all.

2014 — The Beginning

Wing Snob is Founded

Marcus Webb starts experimenting with wing recipes in his Oak Park home kitchen, driven by a mission to make the perfect wing. Friends and family become his first (and very enthusiastic) taste testers.

2015 — First Location

Doors Open on W North Ave

Wing Snob opens its first brick-and-mortar location at 7115 W North Ave, Oak Park. The first week sees a line out the door — the neighborhood had been waiting for something exactly like this.

2017 — Recognition

Named Best Wings in Oak Park

Chicago Tribune's suburban dining guide names Wing Snob the #1 wing spot in Oak Park and one of the top 10 in the greater Chicago metro area. Demand triples overnight.

2019 — Menu Expansion

Sauces, Sides & Catering Launch

We expanded our sauce lineup to 15+ flavors, introduced our famous loaded fries and house-made dipping sauces, and launched a full catering program for local events and corporate clients.

2022 — Online Ordering

Digital Ordering & Delivery Goes Live

Wing Snob launched a full online ordering platform with delivery and pickup options, making it easier than ever for Oak Park residents and visitors to get their wing fix on demand.

2024 — Franchise Program

Wing Snob Goes Regional

The launch of our franchise program opens the door for Wing Snob to expand beyond Oak Park, bringing bold wings and house-made sauces to communities across the Midwest.
